Fred Phelps and his current picketing has been featured on the skeptical website, MondoSkepto. (www.mondoskepto.com)They have tried to contact Phelps via email, but his group of inbreds are too chicken or too uneducated to answer a group of skeptics.

Fred = feet of clay

It's easy to contact the Phelps and to get a response. Go to their site, or just be patient.

We in Kansas have been dealing with these folks for about 20 years, and I can tell you that (a) they're not uneducated and (b) they're not chicken.

It would be so much easier if they were.

Unfortunately, they are ill and ensarled in a theology that seeks to inflict the maximum amount of pain on people. Their family and "church" appear to all be about abuse as theology, all about fear instead of love.

The BBC just did a program on the Phelps. If you google BBC and Phelps, I'm sure you'll find it.

As far as Fred having feet of clay, he is a human being in pain, and he is inflicting as much of that on others as possible. If you look at "From Kansas: Who the heck is Fred Phelps," you'll see an account of my first meeting with him.

I just deleted a post from anonymous that gave out Fred Phelps phone number.

While I agree that the Phelps and Westboro are engaging in horrible, sinful, even evil acts, I don't agree that anyone should ever be harassed, whether that's in person or over the phone. That applies to the Phelps as well as to the rest of us and posting a phone number and telling people to call is harassment.

If we descend to the same level as the Phelps clan, then we are no better than they are.

Once again, I deeply understand the fury and pain behind posting this phone number. I just don't want to see us become the same as the Phelps.

Take care all.
