Kansas Equality PAC pulled off a successful fundraiser for the three progressive Lawrence City Commission candidates last night.
Held in Maceli's, the fundraiser boasted of great food, fine political talk and fish bowls full of checks. All three of the progressives -- Dennis "Boog" Highberger, Carey Maynard-Mooday, and David Schauner -- have already committed to voting for the domestic partner registry. All three also support reasonable policies to guide growth in our fast-growing town.
The election is April 3, and advance voting has already started.
