Crossing our fingers for the state of Washington

The LGBT blogosphere is bubbling with cautious optimism that the antigay effort to overturn a new domestic partnership law in Washington might fail. Signatures on the necessary petitions are being counted, and it appears that many are being found wanting. But it's still too soon to declare victory. As for me, I tend to be a pessimist in these things. I'm thrilled when the antigay right falls on its collective faces, but I never expect it.
