President Barack Obama issues a proclamation declaring June to be LGBT Pride Month, and the LGBT community responds with a resounding raspberry -- as it should.
While it is nifty keeno for the president to take note of his pride in us, his pride doesn't get us any rights, nor does it protect our children and families. His laundry list of campaign promises is particularly galling since his administration appears to be sitting on its hands about actually fulfilling those promises.
No delay. No excuses.
Obama does get 1 point for calling on everyone -- straight and LGBT -- to work together for equality.
