Sometimes I get very tired of Keith Olbermann. I get tired of him ridiculing people and being, well, just outright nasty. Yesterday, though, in a moving Special Comment he nailed the meaning of the passage of Proposition 8 and the battle over marriage equality.

As another straight man trying to do what I can to help my LGBT brothers and sisters in South Dakota, I too was very moved by KO's Special Comment.

If the "good Christians" who condemn gay marriage would stop and think what their spiritual leader was all about, they could not possibly deprive certain people of their inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. After all, Jesus said, "Love one another as I have loved you."
Thank you for posting this!
I've just joined Salon.com. I'd like to add you two as friends. I'm new to the system. If you can tell me how to do that I would appreciate it.

i cannot stand the sight of Keith Olbermann....and this pains me to say it....but I agree 100% for the first time with this miserable excuse for a human.

I'm pretty new to Open Salon and I'm still a bit confused about the friend stuff, but I think all you have to do is go to the person's Open Salon blog and click on "add as friend." At least, I've done that. I think you can also invite friends via email, whether they're on Salon or not, but that might annoy some of your friends (it would annoy many of mine).
