On Paul Morrison: So much for professionalism & judgment

By Diane Silver

On the Kansas City Star Buzz Blog, Star Columnist Mike Hendricks echoes my first reaction to the Paul Morrison story.
Morrison’s philandering did more than cause pain and sadness to the people he loves.

He hurt the prospects of his fellow Democrats, who saw in his election last year a foundation on which to build the party’s increasing influence in state politics.

He further disappointed those who voted for him, as well as those of us who defended him when he was under attack last year.

Personally, I feel like a big dope....

Morrison’s word doesn’t count all that much with me anymore.

It’s hard to imagine that only a year ago this is the guy who said he would bring professionalism back to the office of attorney general.

And that we were to believe he had the “good judgment” needed as the state’s top law enforcement officer.
