I can finally breathe in Lawrence. What a joy it is to go to restaurants and bars in this town where the air isn't thick with cancer-inducing smoke. But, of course, the ban is now up before the state Supreme Court. If Lawrence's law goes down, it appears that all the smoking bans recently adopted in Kansas will be declared unconstitutional. Oh boy.
