What Is Really Going On In The Evolution Debate?

Thoughts From Kansas pointed me toward an interesting article at the Journal-World’s Lawrence.com called “God, Science and the Kooky Kansans Who Love Them Both.”

Through a series of interviews with scientists, clergy, TFK himself, the article comes up with three findings on the evolution debate.

Those are:

Finding #1: By definition, religion and science hold different missions and purposes.

Finding #2: In the modern world, people have found ways to reconcile scientific information and spiritual beliefs.

Finding #3: A perceived conflict between science and religion has been constructed, through media and public forums, by people with political aims.
