Why The Saints won

The quick and easy answer is that The Saints won the Super Bowl because they outplayed the Colts, but I wonder if there isn't another reason. How can a team lose when most of the nation is cheering them on?

I was at a Super Bowl party in Lawrence, Kan., which is decidedly neutral ground. Out of about 30 people, only three were rooting for Indianapolis. The rest of us, myself included, were heartily cheering for New Orleans. Some folks said they always root for the underdogs, but most were like me -- cheering for the resurrection of a team and a city.

Well done, New Orleans!
