Enough is enough! March on Washington Jan. 27 for an end to the war in Iraq

By Diane Silver

Here's an important story that both the mainstream media and blogosphere appear to be ignoring: United for Peace and Justice is organizing a march on Washington for Jan. 27.

It's time to call an end to the Iraq War and to George Bush's escalation. It's time to stop waiting for Congress, and it's long past time to stop waiting for Bush to come to his senses.

More information on the march is here.

Founded in 2002, United for Peace and Justice is a coalition of more than 1,300 local and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together to protest the Iraq War and to "oppose our government's policy of permanent warfare and empire-building."
