Saga of the Rainbow Flag: Bed & Breakfast in Meade, Kan., fights on

J.R. and Robin Knight of 1,600-strong Meade, Kan., are continuing their fight to fly the rainbow flag.

A symbol of gay rights, the Knight's originally flew the flag at their Lakeway Hotel bed and breakfast because their 12--year-old son gave it to them as a present.

The Knights told New England's Bay Windows newspaper that the anger they have faced has made them realize the prejudice lesbians and gays face every day.

"I can't imagine what that's like, to have your whole family shun you because you're attracted to a guy. And for them to call me brave for flying a flag is just incredible," said Knight.
